The West Perry Area was settled in 1810 by Amos OTIS, who built a house on Lot 32. About 1824 this cemetery was organized as a voluntary association with Dan DICKERSON, Nathaniel OTIS and Arad STILWELL as trustees. An acre of ground was purchased on Lot 32 from Charles P. JEWETT for $ 7.00. The cemetery was first enclosed with a rail fence. Burials continue and the grounds are in good condition. Inscriptions copied in 1948. Updated with corrections and additions June 9, 1984 by James J. CUTLER.
